Education, Research, and Development What We Do? The Foundation for Women’s Hearts, Inc. is a nonprofit organization established to address the critical and often underrepresented issue of heart disease in women. Our mission is to reduce the incidence and impact of cardiovascular disease among women through education, research, and professional development. Our Three Pillars Community Education and Outreach We will develop and deliver educational programs aimed at increasing awareness of the prevention, early detection, and treatment of heart disease in women. These programs will include: Free community workshops and seminars led by healthcare professionals. Distribution of educational materials in both digital and print formats. Partnerships with local clinics, schools, and community centers to reach underserved populations. Public health campaigns during American Heart Month and other relevant observances. Participation in community events as a sponsoring organization . Promotion of Cardiology Clinical Research The Foundation will support and promote clinical research focused on women’s cardiovascular health. Activities will include: Providing grants or sponsorships to researchers conducting studies on gender-specific risk factors, diagnostics, and treatments. Hosting symposia and conferences to disseminate research findings and encourage collaboration among scientists and clinicians. Collaborating with academic institutions and hospitals to identify research gaps and advocate for increased funding in this area. Support for Women in Cardiology To address the gender gap in the field of cardiology, we will support the education and advancement of women pursuing careers in cardiovascular medicine. This will involve: Offering scholarships and mentorship programs for female medical students with an interest in cardiology. Creating networking opportunities and leadership development workshops. Partnering with medical schools and professional associations to promote diversity and inclusion in the field. All activities will be carried out by volunteers, staff, and contracted professionals as needed. The Foundation will be funded through donations, grants, bequests, and fundraising events. We are committed to transparency, accountability, and measurable impact in all our programs.
